We had a super day and for most of our friends and families this was their first “non-church” civil ceremony. It was great for us both to get married in a local venue where lots of our friends and neighbours had previously worked and were working on the day. (Both the doormen at the hotel on the day are our respective neighbours, which was really nice, they welcomed us to the hotel and then changed to come down and join us for dinner)

Morning preps are started.

Alison and I met one Christmas when I came home from London – we met in Carrick on Shannon @ the landmark Hotel and we followed up going to Cartown/ Rokin Robins (which was the big nightclub back in the day)

We were set up by our respective best friends from childhood Stephen and Danielle Gannon (you also did their wedding)

Mother is ties up tie for soon before ceremony.

Kilronan Castle

The luxury castle constructed c.1820 in County Roscommon. Located on the shores of Lough Meelagh, Ballyfarnon, Co Roscommon.
85 bedrooms for wedding guests with multiple locations to organize civil ceremony. Overlooking the beautiful lake or a romantic ceremony in Library flooded with candles. There also is a Palm Court just right in the center of the hotel or a Grand Ballroom perfect for large ceremonies.

The most challenging part of the wedding was getting the chance to meet and speak with everyone and also keeping up with all the dancing.

We also had great time climbing through the bog and heather on top of the mountain for our photos, Alison did well to keep her dress clean and I forgot to wear my wellies.
